Buying a computer for your child at college
Of the many things to get ready for a child going off to college is their first laptop. Almost any kid these days should have a laptop computer in college because it allows them to work anywhere instead of being chained to their desk with a desktop computer. Don’t buy a computer too early in the summer: many companies offer special deals for incoming college students which are so good that you can’t get them anywhere else. Your child may be able to buy iBook for a lot cheaper than you could find at any normal standard computer retailer. Many schools these days are recommending Macs for their ease of use, and they really are no more expensive than most quality PC laptops that you can find elsewhere.
