LPN Jobs Outlook

Improvements in medical procedures, drug research and medical technologies have meant that life expectancies have risen in recent years, but also the ability to provide palliative care has meant that patients have extended treatment periods.

The consequence of these improvements in medical expertise has meant that the demand for LPN jobs has increased significantly and this increase is expected to continue at the rate of approximately 15% per annum for at least the next 10 years.

The increase in demand for the LPN has resulted in a significant increase in the number of LPN schools and LPN programs available to prospective students to consider.  Indeed as of the end of 2006 there were something of the order of 1,500 LPN programs available across the US, many of which were online.

Demand for LPN’s in increasing and looks as though it will continue for at least the foreseeable future.  A career as an LPN is therefore an increasingly attractive option.
