Slipper Boot Fabrics

Slipper boots are essentially a slip on shoe with a soft top that rises up above the ankle and a hard sole. The sole can be made of rubber or plastic just like any other boot. The top part of slipper boots has much more variety in the fabric. Some are made with leather and more specifically, suede. The soft suede leather is flexible and easy to slip over your ankle. Once the shoes are on, you can brush the suede down and you will not be able to tell that they were bent as you put them on. Another popular fabric is wool or cotton knits. These slipper shoes are even easier to put on than the leather. You could literally crumple the knit fabric up into a ball and then pull it back straight again and never know it. The fabric boot are extremely easy to get on and that is why the slipper boots that go to mid calf or up to the knee are generally made out of this material.
