Reducing Waste with Composting Bins
Many communities are introducing composting bins to their residents in an attempt to reduce the amount of waste people are sending to our nation’s landfills. Composting is a centuries old science that basically occurs to all organic matter. Organic materials that decompose include leaves, grass clippings, vegetables, and fruits. Installing a compost bin on your property saves you money on fertilizers for your garden or lawn while also drastically reducing the amount of waste your family is sending to the landfill year after year. Bins are fairly inexpensive to purchase unless you are looking for a large bin or one that is more attractive in appearance. Most containers are designed to blend in with other utility containers like trash cans or wood boxes. A few companies are now offering fancy looking bins and pails that can be used conveniently within your home. Small stainless steel pails seem to be the indoor choice for many homeowners.
