Anti-Histamines and Seasonal Allergy Relief
One of the things that happens when your body starts to react to allergies is the release of histamines into your system. These are responsible for much of the nasal stuffiness and other symptoms that you may experience. For quick seasonal allergy relief, many people take anti histamines.
These medications are usually very effective and start to work right away. You’ll have to watch out for and be aware of some of the possible negative side effects, however, as anti-histamines tend to make you drowsy and may even push some people towards depression.
Anti-histamines don’t actually stop the production of histamines, What they do is to suppress many of the symptoms that histamines create. In other words, anti-histamines don’t attack the root cause of the allergy.
