Bubble Baths And Children’s Eczema

Children adore bubble baths. In fact, many parents find it is the only time their children are willing to take a bath. However, if your child is suffering from eczema then bubble baths are a strict “no-no”.

The first thing you should know about bubble baths is that they are full of harsh chemicals. As you know, if you want to treat eczema then you must avoid the chemicals that cause eczema. They are typically colored with dyes that appeal to young children and often a fragrance that is also appealing.

These fragrances and dyes irritate your child’s skin. Your child may have an allergic reaction to these chemicals. Even if there is no allergic reaction, these chemicals can aggravate and dry out the skin. The skin cells will begin to deteriorate and eventually there will be a flare up of eczema.

While the fragrances and dyes are bad for the skin, they are not the worst chemicals in bubble bath formulas. The extra suds required to make a full bath tub of bubbles are produced by strong detergents. Bubble bath manufacturers use very strong detergents and other sudsing agents to get the desired effect. As you may imagine, these kinds of chemicals are known eczema causes.

Another major problem with bubble baths is that they defeat the purpose of bathing your child. When your child suffers from eczema, it is very important that you thoroughly cleanse the skin. This will wash away the dirt, germs, allergens, and irritants that cause eczema. However, the suds in a bubble bath will suspend these eczema triggers and prevent them from rinsing away. Furthermore, residual soap will remain on the skin and irritate it.

Your child may thoroughly enjoy a bubble bath. However, they probably do not enjoy the pain, itching, and overall discomfort of eczema. If your child is eczema prone, it is time to say no to bubble baths and find other ways to make bathing fun.

Simple Tips to Fight Acne

Blackheads and whiteheads are the most common and basic types of acne. Although they are common and a lot of people are plagued by them, their presence can still make you feel embarrassed and insecure about your facial skin. However, how to get rid of whiteheads and how to remove blackheads is really not that difficult apart from what most people think. They are usually brought about by the accumulation of germs, oil and dirt that blocks your pores. With that in mind, it can be said that the best way to get rid of these ugly plugs is to unblock your pores. Here then are simple tips that will help improve your facial skin and eliminate whiteheads and blackheads forever.

1) Never wash or scrub your face too hard. The skin of your face is thin and delicate; doing this will cause extreme dryness and other damage to your facial skin.

2) Avoid working out if you still have your make up on or you just put lotion on your face. You see, when you are working out, you sweat a lot and so if you are still wearing your make up or you have lotion on your face, these elements will seal the pores of your skin and will not allow your pores to breathe as you sweat. The ingredients found in your lotion or make up will combine with your sweat; thereby clogging your pores further and in the process, leads to even more blackheads and whiteheads.

3) If you are using a concealer to hide your skin condition, make sure that it does not have any harsh ingredients incorporated in it that might irritate your skin further. There are many types of make ups that contain oils and other harmful chemicals which can make your condition far worst. When you are out to purchase one, choose a water-based brand or products that contain benzoyl peroxide because this element helps immensely in the removal of blackheads as well as whiteheads.
