Temporary car insuranceis a great idea for many people. For example say you have a vehicle that you use only part of the year -say to tow the boat or maybe the vehicle stays with your remote holiday house. Then temporary car insurance may well be the best deal for you.
Basically you don’t want to be paying for insurance for 12 months of the year when you only use the vehicle occasionally. Instead look into getting short-term car insurance which will cover you while you drive the vehicle. Some companies will even offer you 1 day car insurance for that odd time when you did to use the 2nd or 3rd car.

Its unusual for any driver to buy any insurance policy that doesn’t provide cover. This just seems to be the length of policy that most insurers provide and its also pretty convenient for us drivers. I mean we wouldn’t want to have to organize our insurance every couple of weeks, that would very quickly turn into an annoyance.
There are times however when having temporary car insurance becomes a necessity. Maybe you want to borrow a car from a friend for a few days when you don’t have a vehicle of your own. Thankfully most companies offer this sort of temporary car insurance is just that most of us have never inquired about it so don’t know that it exists. If you need short term cover then don’t be afraid to ask your current insurer if they offer the service but remember to get a few quotes to ensure you don’t pay over the odds.
