Leasing Software Advantages

There are several different ways of leasing software, and each business has a different software need; but one thing they all have in common is the need for updated software to keep their business running efficiently.

As with any lease program for equipment, vehicles, or computers, the advantage of leasing software is in having access to working capital and bank lines of credit.  Leasing frees up the budget, moving projects forward, and keeping the company competitive.  It benefits both vendors and their clients, by increasing cash flow on both ends.  Their are even vendor specific leasing programs designed for the vendor to offer as an additional service to their clients.

A software to manage assets, accounting, and other business functions, is a valuable asset to a company.  This software becomes a tool to manage equipment, individual, and fleet lease profiles, as well as client portfolios and many other vital functions.  The leasing software should have a familiar graphical interface, customizable screens, and facilitate smoother work flow.  All of this contributes to greater efficiency, fewer errors, and happier customers.

Cash flow should always be prioritized in a profitable business.  More cash on hand means more access to opportunity.  Businesses that have good cash reserves created these reserves with cash flow in mind, which is why leasing software makes solid business sense.  Besides preserving capital reserves, the leasing payments can be separated from the balance sheet, and written off as necessary operating costs.

Again, leasing benefits both the business buying the software, and the vendor selling it.  By moving more software through leases, the vendor has a short sales cycle, and is offering a value-added service that may give them an edge over the competition.  When businesses are renting software, they can see the advantage of low monthly payments, and are less likely to go bargain hunting.

Internet Fax – The Evolution of Faxing

Are you still using a fax machine? Believe it or not there are still millions of people using traditional fax machines in the world right now, and what they do not know is that there is a much quicker and effective way to send and receive documents for business or personal purposes: Internet faxing. Using the power of the Internet we can send a document a lot of times faster than with a machine and without having to deal with paper jams!

If you want to take the next step in fax technology, you have two options: using software or paying for a service that allows you to send fax through Internet. If you are new to them, I would suggest you start with a service, since they are more user friendly, accessible and you get customer support 24/7 via different channels. Software also works fine, but will need a little bit of knowledge for setting it up. With both of these options you will be able to try before buying, software comes in the form of shareware, while Internet fax services offer free 30 day trials.

If you are afraid to make the jump to electronic fax because many of your clients use fax machines, you can put those worries down. When a fax is sent digitally, it is converted into a file that is compatible with both fax machines and computers, a TIFF file. If the receiving end has a machine, there will be no problem in the reception of the document.

A great advantage services have is that they give you your own Internet fax number. When you start signing up for a plan, they will ask you whether you want to have a local number a toll-free number. This is offered in USA, but companies such as Ringcentral and MyFax also have Canada fax service options with numbers in the country.

DIRECTV Sports Extras

I’ve had DIRECTV for about a year now, and I am continually impressed with all of the sports programming that they offer.   Now everyone knows that they offer the NFL Sunday Ticket package, and while that is great if you are a football fan, what I’m talking about is some of the extras that they offer.  One extra is the expanded tennis coverage that is on DIRECTV satellite

during the major tournaments.  This year, they offered mix channel coverage of the Australian Open, the French Open, and now Wimbledon.  Also, they had great coverage of the Masters golf tournament.  The best thing about these events is that there is no additional charge to the subscriber to see all of the extra golf and tennis action on DIRECTV.

Checklist For Your HD Projector

The following is a checklist of items you need to think about when starting your home cinema project.  The purchase of an HD projector and an HD screen and a decent sound system is an expensive think to do.

Don’t make the mistake of considering exactly where you will place your new equipment until after your purchases, only to find that you cannot place the items as easily in your selected room as easily as you had hoped.

  1. Check the room dimensions.  A projected image of 4 feet in height needs you to sit at least 12 feet back otherwise you won’t be able to appreciate the picture.
  2. If the room is L shaped then it is probably not suitable.
  3. The room needs to have the ability to cope with the HD projector, so needs to be robust and flat.

Follow this advice and you won’t go too far wrong in setting up your HD projector.

You Could Have Free International Calling with Magic Jack

magic-jack-internet-phone2If you make a lot of long distance international calls, you might want to try out using the Magic Jack voip phone service.  All calls to Canada are free, as in the United States so if you make your calls to Canada you are already covered.  When you make other international calls, you will either be charged varying amounts per minute to make them or you can buy another Magic Jack device and send it to the person or persons that you call the most.  Then that person will also be able to call you or anyone else in the United States for free.  Or should I say almost free as the cost for the service is currently $20 per year.   You should recoup this small charge quickly if you make many international calls.
