Water Safety is So Important
Hot weather fun often involves being in and around water. Whether ithe water you and your family are playing in is n your own backyard or somewhere else, don’t forget to keep safety first.
Make sure that all children, especially very young children are well supervised. It doesn’t matter if they are playing in a shallow wading pool, a large pool or even one of the backyard inflatable water slides, it only takes a second for a child to be overcome by water and drown.
On this note all children who cannot swim should wear a Coast Guard approved personal flotation device. The cheap blow up swim rings or floaties are not flotation devices and should not be relied on as such.
It is a good idea to make sure your children have swimming lessons and learn to swim early in life. Even once they learn to swim teach them to never swim alone.
